The at-home abortion info you need to know

What is the at-home abortion process like? What do I need to do before or after an abortion?
What can I expect? Will it hurt? Is it like a heavy period?
How early or how late can I take abortion pills? Do I need an ultrasound first?
Is it safe to cause or force a miscarriage at home? What about online ordering?
Get the answers you need at no cost to you. We provide free consultations and the health and safety steps you need if you are considering a self-managed medical abortion at home.

Free Screening and Nurse Consultation
Every person's body is different. Start by discussing your health history, learn what could make you ineligible for abortion pills (Mifepristone and Misoprostol), get answers on what to expect during and after an abortion, schedule an ultrasound to know how far along you are, and learn if the pregnancy is growing on its own (viable).
Your initial appointment includes free pregnancy testing. If positive, we can confirm results with a free ultrasound scan and review your options, answer questions on abortion, share local resources and options, and more.

Medical Care Centered on You
1. Start with free lab-grade pregnancy testing.
Whether you've had a positive home pregnancy test or just pregnancy symptoms, it's always a good idea to verify with lab-grade testing. If hCG levels are going down, you may see different results due to a naturally occurring miscarriage.
2. Book an ultrasound appointment and make a plan.
An ultrasound is going to give you the answers you need to move forward with confidence. It can also rule out options or give you more information on what you need to do before or after a decision.
3. Get answers from A-Z during your free consultation.
From your goals to concerns, needs, and more, we've got you covered. And if you've made a decision, learn about what to expect, what to look for if something goes wrong, recovery, options if you change your mind, and everything in between.
4. Follow up for recovery or more resources.
Whether you need after abortion care and support or decide to continue your pregnancy and need access to free resources and aid, additional services are also provided at no cost to you.
Online Health and Safety Checklist
No Cost, Just Care
Is the pregnancy viable?
A positive pregnancy test is an indicator of pregnancy, not a verification. Before you pay for an abortion, rule out a naturally occurring miscarriage. If the pregnancy is not viable, the abortion pill should not be taken.
Is the pregnancy occurring in the uterus?
It's important to know where the pregnancy is located and rule out an ectopic pregnancy, a life-threatening condition that requires immediate emergency medical attention. If the pregnancy is ectopic, you cannot take abortion pills and would not require a surgical abortion. This is one of the reasons it is not safe to self-induce a miscarriage or "spontaneous abortion" at home.
Have you been tested for STDs? Do you have an IUD in place?
If you are considering an abortion procedure, ruling out an STD can prevent further infection or complications. We can provide testing for the most common STIs at no cost to you. If you have an IUD, it will need to be removed before an abortion procedure.
Do you know how far along you are?
The information found during an ultrasound can impact your eligibility, decisions, and future reproductive health. While we do not provide or refer for abortion services at our clinic, we offer a free ultrasound to confirm your pregnancy and give you the answers you need. This information is critical to know before you book or buy online and can save you time and money.
Do you know your Rh-factor?
If you are Rh-negative, you will need a shot after an abortion or miscarriage to prevent future reproductive health complications.
