Simone graduated from nursing school in 1981 and has spent most of her career in women’s health, particularly in labor and delivery. Currently, she works full time in Labor and Delivery at Swedish American Hospital, where she has been employed for the last 10 years. She joined The Pregnancy Care Center in the fall of 2003 as nurse manager and oversees our team of volunteer nurses.
As a Certified Lactation Counselor, Simone has a passion to help women with breast feeding through teaching breastfeeding classes at The Pregnancy Care Center. She also teaches a prenatal class to prepares women for their labor experience. She feels very humbled and excited about how God has used her in this ministry to serve women with compassion and Christ’s love.
She has been married for 30 years to Jim and has three grown children, along with 3 grandkids, who bring her a lot of joy. Because Simone experienced her own unplanned pregnancy in 1980, she is passionate about reaching out to hurting and confused women with love and compassion, so they can experience hope and feel supported in every way.
